Consultants Working on Projects |
||||||
We're Consultants. We sometimes hesitate to use the term, because it connotes large armies of senior people wildly networking around you, or conjures up images of young people pushing standard solutions onto you. We are the opposite of that. We're a group of global senior advisors eager to formulate novel solutions for the complex issues executives face. We work individually or in small teams. We think our client's investment
is better protected with small, well-defined assignments and recognizable
deliverables. Our economics are not driven by leverage. We favor workshops
and skills-building interventions. Building trust with executives is
our paramount goal. We focus on the needs of individual executives. While we always keep the broad interests of the client firm in mind, we view the individual who entrusts us with his or her issues as "the client." We actively seek individuals with interesting agendas and put ourselves at the service of those individuals. Beyond the technical agenda involved in any project, we strive to understand the full agenda of our individual clients and attempt to contribute to that agenda beyond the narrowly-defined project. Most of our relationships are long-lasting, often stretching over decades. Our Consultants are both specialists of certain fields and generalists of strategic and organizational problems. New relationships often originate because of the notoriety of some of our Consultants in their fields – e.g., Value Innovation or Lifelong Client Loyalty. These relationships often evolve over time toward broader-based relationships where the Consultant becomes a provider of resources across a large array of strategic and organizational issues. Our Consultants have access to the vast resources of the MAC Partnership, which they can call upon without any of the organizational constraints of large consulting organizations. These resources include other Consultants inside or outside the MAC Partnership, whose conceptual, regional or industry expertise may contribute to the work. It may involve an Academic with interesting views on the issue at hand. Or our Consultants may suggest calling another Manager who has faced the same problem in a different organization, or participating in one of our Consortium groups. If you would have an interest the counseling activities of the MAC Partnership, please write to Consultants@macpartnership.com. |
